Three Year Olds' Playground Redevelopment
We were asked to provide a challenging playground for the three year olds in a relatively tight space. The brief also included the requirement of a quite space.
A three tier deck was built for a gathering place for eating, reading etc. A hill that accommodates a slide was created using retaining walls so that a path, dry river and bridge could add more elements to the playground.
The finished area has provided a number of opportunities for children to explore the natural environment including a dry river bed, sensory garden area beneath a Manuka walkway and mud kitchen.
