Kids First Rolleston
The sandpit was created using large boulders. A round wooden deck and bridge connect the sandpit to the softfall area. Swing frame and large cedar storage shed can be seen in the background.

The large boulders in the foreground are part of the sandpit. A whare can be seen in the background. The boards on the He Pare over the path have been left blank as the community are organising the carving themselves.

The three seats seen here are located in the area set aside for insect hotels and bug exploration. The seats were designed to reflect the shape of beehives to tie in with the theme of the area.

A movable seat from macrocarpa is situated in what will become the forest area. Native plants such as Olearia and Muehlenbeckia have been used. The Olearia will get quite large and transform this newly planted area.

A fale with thatched roof over a round deck. This area has been planted with Griselinia so that it will enclose most of the deck. A custom built seat in the forest area can be seen in the forground.

Seat and view of whare in fenced off area. The whare has been left open and simple so that it leaves scope for imaginary play. The community are organising carving of the barge boards.

Swing frame that can take four swings. Made from macrocarpa and oiled.

Some of the pavers which we custom made.
